Why No Soap?

During my 20's and half of my 30's I used regular soap to wash my body and face.  I know many of you are making a crazy face right now but that is the sad truth.  As we get older we definitely get more self conscious and I noticed how soap was not a good choice so I started buying very expensive creams in the hope that they will reverse my lines and thin skin around my eyes.  So $400 later and 8 different nightly and daily routines I am on track to fix my skin however even with the 100% money back guarantees I did not find a hell of a lot of difference - I mean come on!  I just spent all this money and wasted all this time doing even circles around my eyes??? WTF?????

So my friend introduced me to essential oils.  I thought she was crazy!!!  You spent how much on 15ml of sandalwood oil?  What is sandalwood anyway?  But being the sucker I am I bought a kit and figured I would just diffuse the hell out of it and my house will smell like Martha Stewart's house and this array of essential oils will mascarade all the pet and stinky shoes smell all over my house.  So I started diffusing, using them on myself and noticed I could not stop smelling myself (yes I know! it weird - that's been established). This evolved in potion experimenting to see what combinations smelled the best and this actually led to me reading on what these oils could do.  So where I am now.  I am still experimenting!  I can't say that these oils make my wrinkles better but I do see my skin glowing and it feels good to use products on my face that I can actually pronounce.  I am having so much mixing oils and smells with basic things like jojoba oil, coconut oil, shea butter and witch hazel to treat my skin.  I even have a roller bottle as a perfume with a few drops of this and a few drops of that which I get tons of compliments on.  No chemicals, cheaper and fun to make.  So there you have it.  This is how No Soap started because I decided to use no more soap on my face and I am loving it so far.
